Hello, I’m Jany E. Thomas, the creator behind Labouddica — a one-of-a-kind jewelry store in Tulum inspired by ancient civilizations and modern tribal elegance. My work is rooted in a lineage of treasure hunters, artisans, and storytellers. Since childhood, I’ve searched for antiques with my mother, a jewelry designer, learning to see beauty in heritage materials and forgotten objects. Labouddica was born into a lineage of treasure hunters, artisans, and storytellers. From my childhood days searching for antiques with my mother — a jewelry designer herself — to our collaborative creations, this brand carries the love of craftsmanship that runs in our blood. Its name honors the fierce Celtic queen Boudica, a symbol of strength, resilience, and rebellion. At the same time, the double “dd” pays tribute to my Welsh middle name, Eiddwen — and to the generations of women before me. Every Labouddica piece is a wearable artifact. I deconstruct, rebuild, and transform vintage and antique materials, fusing them with modern elements to create utterly unique designs. No two pieces are ever the same — each has its own soul, its own history, and its own future with you. These are sculptures for the body — statement pieces that can live on your dresser as art, adding an eternal whisper of glamour to your space.
